In the Autumn of 2010, I founded Bishop White Insurance & Financial Services, Inc., as a full-service insurance agency. I have over 25 years of experience in the industry, I am a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), and I have a Finance degree from Central Michigan University. I'm passionate about providing my clients with an unsurpassed service experience, and the part of my job I love the most is helping people understand their own personal, business, and farm insurance policies.

Growing up in Michigan, I never thought I would find my way to Iowa. But in 2004 I fell in love with the state, and today my roots are firmly planted in the community of metropolitan Des Moines. My wife Kelli and I have two sons, Dakota and Keaton. We enjoy time with family, neighbors, and friends, Summer vacations at Lake Michigan, and cheering on our boys' sports teams.

My business is a member of the Des Moines Chamber of Commerce, and I served as board chair for the Chamber's LEAP program (Leadership Education and Advancement Pipeline) in 2017 and 2018. Philanthropy is an important part of who I am, and in addition to LEAP I have served the Youth Emergency Services Shelter (YESS), the World Food Prize, The Clive Historical Society, and Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. I also volunteer as a coach for youth baseball and soccer.

The path that led me to this point in life has been anything but predictable. While studying in college, I worked part time in the front office for an insurance agent. Little did I know just how much that experience would impact me. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management from Iowa State University and later graduated with a master’s degree in Speech Pathology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While I enjoyed and found success in both professional fields, I felt a strong pull to find something that better aligned with my personal goals and values.  

Throughout my career journey, I fondly recalled my time in the insurance industry. Helping clients meet their insurance needs and educating individuals on a topic that often leaves most of us feeling overwhelmed was something I relished. It was by pure happenstance that I stumbled upon this opportunity at Bishop White. Hearing Jason’s vision for the company and bonding over mutual values left me with hope. For the first time it felt possible for my personal and career goals to be aligned. I am beyond excited to join Bishop White as a Client Services Agent, expand my foundation with the insurance world, and continue to foster my love for helping and serving others.

I’m lucky to have the support of my husband, Parker, as I make the transition back into the insurance world. I am passionate about the Des Moines metro community, as it is where we have chosen to set our roots. We love spending time outdoors, socializing with friends and family, and reveling in our chaotic life with four pets! I look forward to serving members of this community and protecting what matters most to them.
